Looks like my rovan 4wd truck with 730kv motor on 6s could be geared up if I'm not happy with the top end,
maybe il get to give it its maiden run this weekend if the rain stays away[8D]

Nice running car. I like the fact that it doesnt take long to get up to those speeds. Thought about building one but I'll stick to what I know. Keep us posted.

And if you did build an electric 1/5 scale it would be super fast !! Did you notice this was a 4 wheel drive FG?? The car appeared to be extremely stable without a wing wonder if a wing might help it from going airborne??

Dont think a wing will help. Its the body itself. The sportsline is one of those cars that are not built for speed runs with many of the bodies that are offered. When I was running the sportsline, I switched from the BMW M3 body which took flight all the time, to the stock car body. Even then, I had to cut the rear of the car out to get the air to come out. Then I had to cut the back window out to get more air out because it created lift in the rear. It ran fine after that but the body was all chopped up. Issue is that the SL has a narrow chassis and a wide body. All the air enters the bottom of the car but has no where to exit and it creates lift. Lots of lift. Maybe a solution would be to make a plate that takes up the entire width of the body to keep air out. Almost like the Traxxas X0-1 is built.

Depend on which wing. if the scale lexen wing, they don't do much. Try a carbon wing like the one come with the evo it makes a huge different. I broken my wing once and it is not drivable......
