I have recently bought a duratrax firehammer mt and I just started running it and the gears make a sound which I know it shouldn't and it runs slower than I have seen others when I lift up the rc car and press the throttle it does not make the sound it is only when it is moving on the ground so help and ideas of what it would be are appreciated

Could you post up some pics of the gear areas making the noise? A video of it making the noise would be better.

I do not know much about the firehammer but I would check the gear mesh.
