The Baddest 4x4 RC on the Planet!!!
This Summer I will be building a Losi that weighs well under 20 pounds and is Brushless prowered. It will have over 800 inch pounds to turn the ultra lite bead lock wheels. And have a custom paint job to boot. Transmission will be a 2 speed. Yes that's right a Transmission and it will be well under 20 pound with lipos on board. It will have Losi Big Bore shocks and more power and speed than is needed. It will have a super low center of gravity and use a Carbon Chassis the Diffs will be aluminum housings and the carriers that house the 4 spider gears will also be CNC aluminum so it will be one of the strongest 1/5 anything ever made!!!
So track use on or off road will be possible. With added sway bar.

This is going to be the end all of what a ultimate 4x4 is. Not cheap but the very best never is!
I'm using the Losi LST2 or the XXL as the platform of the build. Titanium is going to be everywhere and that doesn't come cheap. I will also be making custom Carbon fiber pieces to keep with it looking good and also so that it is very strong and light weight.
Here is some of the parts that you will see in the build.

This the is what the chassis will look like but on a 18'' wheel base and duel lipos on the sides of chassis. The pins and suspension will be Titanium. Summit trans will mostly be stock. The servos for the steering will be a pair 400oz Hitec 7954 servos. The shifting servo will be a HV micro so that the system runs on 7.4v. The wheel hubs will be 24mm so that the 1/5 RC4WD Dune Reapers can be used. The body will be the axial Yeti XL and also a truck cab so that it looks like a short course truck at times. I also plan on using the RC4WD 1/5 paddle tires at times.
I will be running a custom LED light system, and custom bumpers also.
This current chassis is a 14.2'' wheel base.

The power will come from a Castle 1515 green can that I have in my Redcat XBE and I will buy a Castle waterproof 150 amp esc to power it. It work great in the XBE so it should be great in the lighter build that this will be.

Here is a peak at the wheel base. It ended up being 17.5'' and that is ok by me!
I found a bent shock shaft, so I installed some Titanium shafts to all four shocks.

Ok, I have a lot of parts on the way!

I still need tires and a 3 or 4 ch radio and receiver. This is his first RC anything so I will need to get the lipos and charger for him also.

The Axial Yeti body show up at the door today. Also the wheels are here as well.

The LST platform is one of my favs so I'm kinda partial to it, but moonman's foff gets my vote in this case! Lol.
Anyway. Awesome build twisted. The Yeti XL body on this chassis looks way better on the regular Yeti body did on the other chassis. Just my opinion. Keep us updated

I tell you what... You post the best that this can do on Video! And I'll do the same. I'll run mine on 6s and 4s and I will rock crawl, sand run, Hill climb and drag race and some big air jumps. You do all that and tell me if there is anything left of the frame. I can't wait to see it rock crawl. LOL
This build is good at everything not just climbing sand piles!
It's simple to work on has over 800 oz of steering and is light weight with tons of power. The chassis is bomb proof and the diffs are also. I can do a week of hard bashing and not miss a beat. I know for a fact that the buggy your so fond of couldn't say the same.

I dare anyone to come up with a build that will do what this one can do. You will need to use video to show what is capable of... as I will.
If it is mud that you want to see then your barking up the wrong tree as I hate what it does to a rc!

When was the last time you seen a Build this clean?
I'm waiting on the pair of SMC 2s 9000mah 60c lipos to install. The wheels are getting RC4WD 8.58" Roclox tires mounted to the steel Beadlock rims.
I have some new lights on the way and the painting of a few cage parts are also in the works. I will cut some lenses for the rear lights just as I have done in the past.
It's getting close folks!
The owner wants it done before The 4th of July. I will be done next week.

I can say this... I have a lower center of gravity. Better power to weight ratio and stronger chassis. I have built tube buggies in r/c and 1:1 and I know that they look and work on a pro level.
I also know that weight is not your friend in both. I do my builds with this in mind and is the reason that mine not only work but if you can find one that is a cleaner design.
When was the last time you seen a Build this clean?
