RE: 4x4 marder
If you email molzermoweryracing, They have been a great help to me for parts and info! I'm sure they'd give you some good info not found, since the FG 4X4 has not even hit the hobbyshop shelves yet (if I'm correct).
Also www.modelracer.com has a nice article w/ in-person pictures (not FG promos)of the 2004 show, with pics/info on the "FG 4x4".

Dates are not firm yet but don't expect the 4X4 conversion kit to be out until late summer.

RE: 4x4 marder
Hi ,
I've been to the RC expo in Germany and I asked the FG people when the marder 4*4 comes out. the answer whas NOT IN 2004 !!!
The 4*4 marder shown in the German expo whas a real turn down. All the pieces where glued together. There is no way it'll be on the shelves this year.
Just to let you know.
David.

RE: 4x4 marder
That makes me GLAD I just ordered a TON of parts for my marder! ...
Was "On the fence" about my order, with all the gossip of that FG 4x4 hitting the market.
By the time it DOES come out, I should be in need of a new one...

RE: 4x4 marder
Well, FG is telling us it will be out at the end of the summer, but nothing firmer. Also, If we understand the discussion correctly, the 4WD kit will be available as an upgrade kit to the existing Marder, so you should be able to just upgrade the one you have. I will reconfirm this and get back to you.

RE: 4x4 marder
We expect the kits late summer, the kit will include new bulkheads, front diff, belt of course, parts for rear diff, and front axles there may be some minor modifacations required to the original car to get it all to work.. but all minor stuff.
we should have some images up on our sites, news page shortly. also check the products offroad page for news and descriptions.

Yes , the kit will come out as an upgrade kit for the marder. I know from a fact that it wont be cheap ( just as the upgrade kit to make your marder a bigfoot truck ) and it will not be this year.
FG still has no idea how to pull it off to put the belt under the gas tank and under the servo's all the way to a front diff. They still have to design all the pieces and gas tank to fit all together and form a 4*4 marder.
I can tell you that the one shown on the expo whas " sit down and cry " bad assembled. All the upgrade parts where glued to the stock marder parts ( the belt did not go under the gas tank but it whas glued to it ).

RE: 4x4 marder
The upgrade kit from marder to bigfoot, should be similar to the beetle kit, not much different then the body pricing. add in a set of tires and rims.
prototypes and show cars are always just that. should be expected. But I do know what you are saying.
We fully expect the deadlines to be met, they are acceptable and should not be that hard to follow on.

No ammdrew , The kit for making the marder a bigfoot also includes "twin vertical plates" hpi savage like and some other parts too. The wheels and tires will not come cheape at all.
