Well the body edges are not bad at all, that is the was I got the body. Not anything major to worry about. It is 100% ready to run, I am going to run it either this afternoon or most likly will be tomorrow, it is raining here right now... But I am still a bit confused on the gas mix.... The manual says high test petro with a 1:25 mix, or 4%, dosent that seem a bit rich? ammdrew said he runs his Marder at 50:1 and that should be fine, I have a 40:1 already mixed for my Enforcer boat, and the oil is the Zenaoh synthetic oil. So that would be a good mix??????

If 4% is what FG recommends, run it at that ratio - a rich mix would be better for a new engine.

Hey Jared1106 I like the paint, nice smooth lines. any chance you could post a pic of the underside of the chassis? When are you gonna fire that thing up? Would love to see some video of it running. Thanks and good luck with the break in.

Will do, running this afternoon sometime..... I will take a pic of the chassis before I run it. I need advice on the fuel mix, the manual says 1:25/4% how much oil to a gallon and does that sound right 1:25 ??

I don't think the color is bad. I like the yellow highlights. Better than my buddy's tmaxx is baby s*#t green. How long have you had yours? Doesn't look like you've run it yet. Did you order the K&N air filter with it?

Thx guyz but you know when i was ready with painting my car i see other good idea's but w/e.
I have this buggy for a week now and drive 3 tank gas empty and have a K&N filter I also buy the 2 cog wheels from steel instead the plastic.

It's great to have this one before I had a protech 1/8 but always troubles with the 3,5 cc engine.

And Jared1106 I like you car color that was my idea first lol to paint the body i buy 50% blue and 100% yellow first i paint it with the blue 50% then after 5 min. i paint it with yellow then you get green lol

Jared1106 is there any chance you took some pictures of what was in the box you recieved? Is there a plate for radio gear? Is all of the rods and stuff to mount on the servos with?
How much do i need to buy extra if i buy a car like yours?
Radio and reciever of course - i have that.
Servo's one large for the steering (24kg) and a smaller for the throttle/brake (9kg)
Reciever pack 6V.
Electrical fail safe.
On off switch is that good? I think i will just use connectors, then there will be a fault possibility less.

I would like to know what you installed "extra" on your car. All the things than wasn't in the box from FG

Tonny
It comes with all the connecting rods installed, a receiver box (which you have to drill a hole in for the wires to pass thru) and a battery strip, which is just a flat strip of plastic which they show in the manual of the battery's taped to it. But all you need is the steering servo you can use 2 but they show one 805 and it is more than enough, and the throttle/brake servo which is a 265 I think, radio, rec. battery pack, on off switch. and you are good to go.
Might I add it does not come with tire inserts... But the tires are stiff enough you do not need them, I ran mine last night for the first time, in-between rain showers so it was a bit wet. This thing being the first time I started it, fired right up, idled perfectly and you can start it without taking the body off!
Might I say it is not good for your lawn, I didn't give it full throttle, but it RIPS the HE double hockey stick out of the grass, this thing moves and gets there QUICK!
I am very happy with it for sure, cant wait for my MT to get here (which there is no news on).
Also, does not come with a rear bumper of any kind, the only thing available right now is the same as the front which I ordered with the new FG catalog last week and it will be here today. Parts seem to be cheap enough so far anyway...
The driving gears seem to be heavy duty as well as the whole unit but I am going to get the metal ones for sure and of coarse the K & N air filter and a fuel filter.
Today I will have my catalog so if anyone needs prices on parts just drop a post and I will let ya know what you are looking to spend on parts, I will get the price from the Molzer Mowery Products web page.
Anything else you need to know I can help with just let me know. I am going to start a new post I think for those of us who have these or for those who want to know about them, would get more hits than the painting header...

heh,... a few years ago I had a 1/4 scale body where the front paint chipped off the first time out with it,... I decided to strip the paint and re-do it, since I had about $200 in custom vinyl stickers invested in the body.

I used paint stripper to do the job, and I will *NEVER* do that again! It was a ton of work, and I never did get it 100% Still had bits of the old paint, although I was probably the only one that noticed. I repainted it to a red, and it was originally a flourescent orange. As I said,... never again!
