Man, those things look clumbsy as hell! That sucks. Is it the shocks or what?

Just had a look at the vid...very cool btw, but as to the commet by xknacx, it has to be the shocks or more to the shock oil is to thick, making the ride very rigit and bumpy thus the shocks are not 'damping' there jus rebounding on the springs...if you see where im comming from.

you may wish to compare to a monster beetle on the same track, not clumsy at all the 1/8 and 1/10 th scale trucks can not even clear the double, they all have to drive both jumps or land in the face of the second jump.

I changed the oil in my MT shocks to 200w silicone oil, and that made it a whole other truck ;-)

Thats the kind of info we need. we were running the truck stock in that video for several reasons. Unfortunatly even we at MolzerMoweryRacing don't have a personal truck to start experimenting with yet. Everyone has a different idea of wants and needs also. We all in the next several months as the trucks get out into the rc world will have to come up with options for those that wish to race, jump, or just stare at them. I love my Monster Beetle right now it will jump, it will race, it will do wheelies, and it will go like hell. But it took me a several months to find what I like and how to get the MB to that point. Sorry I am so long winded here but, that is one hell of a truck. That is I driving it in that video (not very well I might add)and it was very different then my marder or my beetle and it took awhile to learn how to drive it on the track. I wanted so bad to pull the throttle back and let her fly but we at MMR need that truck for shows and reviews not in pieces from me really seeing what it will do.

Well i am not sure if the 200w oil is the same in europe and US, but i bought 200w oil at www.rc-car-online.de and thats not even half as thick as the oil i removed. Actually try yourself to take apart one of the shock and you will be amazed how thick it is [:'(] It is so thick you can use it in the diff. The diff needs thick thick grease as well if you want your truck to drive better [>:]

The truck has the option of foams for the tyres, there is also an option to drill 2mm hole in the wheels, and FG's "generally" come with 2000 wt oil in the shocks, we raced one this weekend and found it worked reasonably well with one set of springs taken off the rear. the steering seems sluggish to say the least, with 2 of the hightech jumbo's in it seems ok but would be better with an oddified tonegowa.
