Default Is the MT really that BIG?

I've seen a whole lotta pics of the MT. Some give the appearence that the MT is HUGE. Others give the appearence that its only slightly bigger than a Savage or T/Emaxx.

I would like it (seeing that I won't actually get to pickup my MT for another 2 weeks [&o] ) if anyone can share some scale pics of the MT. That is, someone holding the MT, or standing next to it, or just putting it next to a standard sized household object, or whatever to give a good idea of its size. I really want to see how big this Bad Boy is so I can prepare.

Some dimensions LxWxH would also be nice too. [8D]

The truck is big for the scale 1/6 but not the biggest. The tires are 7"-8" tall. My truck is 1/4 scale with 12" tires. The MT is only 2wd and who know when 4 wd and no reverse. My truck has it all and then some.

But how come we only ever see one pic of this truck and always the same pic......... how about som more pics or video??

You've got to admit though that the FG MT does look rather more erm....... realistic? [X(]

Actually mbbaj2001's mt look more real. He just needs a good 1/4 scale body. look at the chassis design. When was the last time you saw a monster truck with independent suspension? Thats why I would never give up my new era mt. It is as real as it gets and the tires are 16 inches tall!! Just dont get in my way. It would be sweet mbbaj2001 if you lived closer so I could see these two beasts run at the same time!!!

Lol - I was thinking the exact same thing. One thing is for sure ... if anyone anywhere asks for a pic you will see the Trusty 1/4th Yellow Pickup Truck. Just 1 pic - in the same pose. Could have been taken in 1962 or 1992... who knows.

i don't know, i have seen a couple of those New Era trucks, and i have to say, impressive, but i still think they look like a real full size MT, all frame and pipe work, looks goofy, i like the FG, it looks like a truck with HUGE monster tires on it!!!. That is only my opinion, and nothing against any MT on this forum.

Yea, it is a matter of opinion. Some like the realism of tube chassis and some prefer the t-maxx type cartoon truck look. I personally like trucks that look just as good with the body off as they do with it on.

As far as size goes, here is a pic of a marder next to my New era stadium truck. Keep in mind the stadium truck is the smallest 1/4 scale truck made!

Hey Xknacx...

Can you put me in your will as the benficiary of all of your RC stuff?? You've got a great collection. I hope to someday add a Conley 1/4 scale Cobra to my collection to go along with 1:1 scale Cobra.

I can't see paying $200 for a lexan truck body. I would rather build a mold myself and make my own bodies. I build all my own parts. I just finished the 2nd gen transmission for my Zenoah motors. I can re-manufacture all the good parts for the 1/4 scale cars. So I don't waste time looking. I need it now.

I so wish new era would make their 1/4 scale again. Now that I can afford toys like this they stop.
