RE: money no object
Are you thinking what I'm thinking? A GIANT R/C ROBOT TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD! Muwahahahahahaha!
I have perfect plans to eliminate world hunger, remove religious nutcases from positions of power, produce all the energy needed worldwide in a non-polluting, distributed fashion, colonize mars, ensure individual freedom, provide advanced college education for free to the entire population, and create as close to a utopia as practically possible. But greedy leaders are in my way...
Oh, you mean with slightly less money than that?
I'd invest in a well-stocked machine shop... A good cnc mill with plenty of tools, a cnc laser cutter, cnc lathe, endmill, and every other thing I can fit in an acre or so of shop space. Plus, of course, a good collection of raw materials to go with it.
Wouldn't need any cars or parts... they'd appear soon enough.
Oh, and I'd need to invest enough money to be able to live off the interest, so I actually have time to do anything.

RE: money no object
I would buy a FG Monster-truck and replace all the plastic stuff for the alloy parts of Elcon-Models.
Then you will have the strongest monster you've ever seen.[>:]
