a great idea computer control
i think of great idea. well i have not seen it don any way.
I was thinking of getting a laptop computer, and have that as the control sort of thing.
put a cam on the top of the car. link that to the laptop.
link the receiver to the laptop. so that you can control the car, steering servos throttle from the laptop.
i think you get the idea. but i have not seen any software to do that though.
it would be like in one of the James bond films. ha ha i know what about doing it on the mobile phone

Bluetooth has far to little range.
Go for WireLess LAN, with a extra large transmitting and receiving antenna you should get a range of more than 200 meters outdoors.
Maybe even up to 500 meters if there is free sight
