Default Throttle Curves and Off-road

Does anyone use throttle curves with their off-road buggies? I am getting the list of things to buy before I get my 1/5 scale. I already have 2 channel FM radios I can use that do not have throttle curves. Should I spend the money and get a futaba 3PK or JR-R1 which have throttle curves? BTW, leaning more towards a MB now.

Thanks

as per the other post
i don't think so
speaking to a model shop/racer the other day about radio and he sells most of his new stuff with the futaba 2 channel and big hitec/multiplex servos in
and said unless going to hydraulic brakes not to bother
unless you want to be flash.

That's good to know. That's about $300 saved.
