RE: Dazzas "better" bodyshell.........
Hi Cowboybob,
These shells do take some time, on the T/C shell, you have to spray the black first, or put a layer of backing coat (normally white) then you can do the black, but on this one I done the black first then the colour, making sure everything is well masked.
To do the lines around the doors and trim, you can use a good quality car pin strip (thinest one possible) or get them cut 500mm long from vinyle.
I get mine from here.. http://www.stickitz.co.uk/index.html
this was the last one I done, took about a week, time to put then on and to take off 200 stickers... Thats not the problem, its the six forks and the three bits on the end, so you have to pick each one off?? 200x6x3

Hey Avgas,
Thanks for the tips! That is a great looking car...I wish I had the same talent with an airbrush (and the patience to make it look right).

Hi Cowboybob,
Thanks , no problem, only to pleased to help.
I dont use an airbrush, this is all from a can, just really good masks!
Sorry, the only bits I would use the airbrush on, is the headlights for a bit of shading.

Anyway it ain't finished.
Well at least i have thought about it and not just stuck loads random stickers on it. I don't mean to be rude here.

No Yozzer, I don't want to pass that off as my own, I thought it would have been blatantly obvious that was yours............ seeing as it's exactly the same as the one at the start of the thread?
I wouldn't have ever commented on whether or not I thought it was better or worse than mine, who am I to say? That is of course until you opened your stupid big mouth!
That vinyl has got more wrinkles in it than my Granny's knickers!!!
And erm........ the decal on the rear wing, will last about 10 minutes before the dust gets under it, the bit where you didn't stick it down properly..........?!
So just to recap, NO, it's not my shell, or car, or big mouth that got me into trouble.......... I was minding my own business when the next minute some Divvy kid put a post up about his shell being better than mine, you don't kick a dog then wonder why it bites you!
Ichiban?? Is that Japanese for self abuser?
GO AND DRINK SOME BLEACH, NOW!
