RE: OOOOPPPSSSS!!!!!!
That is the reason i have not added a pipe to my Beetle dubby. The way they are hung just leave them wide open to crash damage and they are too expensive to replace on a whim. The way the header is done in two pieces should help it flex and protect it some but there just has to be a better way of doing it. Hope your's is fixable with out to much expense.

RE: OOOOPPPSSSS!!!!!!
you could always raise the radio tray and air intake to the same height as the pipe and have an amphibian?.Sorry mate i know it ain`t no fun when youve got to shell out to fix the bloody things.good luck with the pipe, lets know how you get on.
