fg monster truck
Ok, i have a few questions about these large scale trucks and hope you can all help me. Is the fg the largest that i can buy? if not what is? I keep seeing that it is 1/5 scale but then on the next page it says it's 1/6 scale, which? And last but not least, is it two wheel drive or four?
thanks for any help you can give me.

RE: fg monster truck
hello. the truck is actually 1/6 scale. it is 2wd out of the box. it is possible to make it 4wd going from what i have seen in here but i don't know if it has been done yet. 1/4 scale is the largest. individuals make them but mass production hasn't been done in years. if you search you will be able to find something. hope that helps.

4WD should be available from FG later this year. So noone tried it yet and the truck as produced is 2WD.
MCD owners complain that it is difficult to get hold of spare parts.
Generally this year there should be a few 4WD new cars/conversion kits coming to the market. The interest in such an option is high.

RE: fg monster truck
rabid racer thats exactly what i thought untill i bought my monter beetle and i haven't looked back.
i've always ran 4x4 whether it be 1/10 scale, 1/8 scale. if i had the money i would by the mcd 4x4 mt.
right the fg mb is amazing eveything is so easily laid outr, i was gonna wait for the bigfoot but i managed to get a monster beetle with zenoah 26cc engine so i was lucky. i am gonna upgrade my beetle to a bigfoot , the bigfoot has 4 more extra shocks, extra side plates, some extra re-inforced tubing from cage, maybe a few more ball-races as well. the front arms on bigfoot are different but in essense its a monster beetle.
the owner from kp designs once told me that he could get a 2wd to go faster in competition than the 4wd, don't be put of by the 2wd cos it still is a monster and it gives ya a chance to learn how to drive it.
go fg go monster [X(]

Chaduk! Before converting to MT make sure you really like it. A lot of owners had to remove extra shocks to reduce jumpiness. I think MT is a fun recreational bashing r/c car and MB has much more racing potential as well as keeping the bashing side.
