Coleman fuel to Sabre 100:1 oil mix
Hello,
Can someone help me and recommend what mixture to run with coleman fuel and sabre professional oil mix. I have a 8 oz bottle of sable 100:1 and 1 gallon of coleman fuel. I also will be running it in a Duratrax Firehammer.
Thx,Mike

I run 25ml oil to one litre coleman and it works great for me !!
You will never go back to gas NO SMELL I would call the performance better as well but some may dispute this !
I had to adjust needles a little but have several gallons through it now and no running/readjusting issues
Also have not had a fouled plug since I switched , was getting one every few tanks before
I also am running a 23cc fire hammer ( love the car )
highly recomended for people with gas smell issues
forgot to state that I am not using the same oil you are using but it should still be close for a mix.

convert 1 gallon to litres
add 25 ml of oil for every litre you end up with.
When I mix I use a beaker measured to 1 litre and a large vetranary seringe measured in ml
pour a litre in the beaker suck up 25 ml of oil in the seringe and shoot it in.
pour it in my fuel storage tank and do another till its full.
Sorry I forget how many litres are in a gallon but it isnt a hard conversion look it up online somewere

It is great to read that someone has tryed the coleman fuel in thier Firehammer I have bgeen toying with the idea, since i found my plug had fouled, not only that but I think I could live with the reduced smell, Has anyone taken there DTX engine apart yet to see the effects on the moving parts and compared them to running regular gas. would be interesting to say the least. another thing I wonder about is will altitude effect running on the coleman gas. Being in Calgary we are abpout 4000 ft above sea level and I believe our regular gas is adjusted to compensate for the hiogh altitude. Glad everyone is enjoying thier Firehammers as much as I am, would like to know from someone else who has had fg vehicles if they noticwe any difference in power or torque between the 23cc DTX and the 26cc Zenohah on FGs.

There should be no difference in wear on the engine as your fuel oil mixture is the same.
The coleman fuel does have a lower flash point but I cannot see it as making a huge difference in tempearture etc on the engines.
If there is a heat difference it is very minimal.
I build and run model engines as another hobbie and have used coleman fuel alone in lower rpm engines with no lube for hundreds of hours.
It works well in this role as well.
Basicly I see no difference accept the chemical makeup of the fuel.
