RE: fg stadium truck. what the?
and it looks like fg made a new body to fit the chassis. makes getting a tuned pipe to fit alot harder. looks somewhat inovative

as far as i can figure those pictures are from the nurnberg hobby show. i think if a tuned pipe would fit i'd rather have one of those shells

Here is an interesting one in my view. Called Carson Raptor. Looks like a moster truck. Not sure of scale though.
Here is a link. [link=http://www.rcpics.net/img/49218]http://www.rcpics.net/img/49218 [/link]

Looked more precisely at the picture - definitely NOT 1/5th scale. A typical nitro engine is visible. Sorry to mislead you guys.
Just would be nice to start seeing some competition in MT area!

Just when I thought I was reaching the END of my wish list...
I bet marder studded tires for the MT rims won't be to far behind... [8D]
There must be some sort of "widener" also on that stadium setup for that MT body to sit THAT LOW and not have 8" wide wheelwells for turning???

Apparently from the FG-Team website, there is a new 2005 catalog out that has the new items. See below the info that was copied from that site:
The Monster Beetle chassis is identical with the FG Monster Truck chassis.
This model is equipped with 8 shock absorbers in order to accommodate ground unevennesses and greater jumps. The fuel tank as well as the receiver are secured through lateral side plates.
A conversion to the Monster Truck is possible without greater efforts.
Technical description of the Monster Beetle PRO see FG catalog 3, page 25.
According to this site for instance, the new MB Pro is on page 25. Does anyone know where you can look at this new catalog???

RE: fg stadium truck. what the?
Looks like FG did what they did to the Beetle shell to make it a Monster Beetle hacked a good shell up It looks good but i reckon FG just cut the bed and rear screen out of the original shell and drilled a couple of extra holes for mounting lower down. Looks like a new rear wing though. Might try to mod my own shell when its a bit more battered lower centre of gravity and all that.
Anyone noticed that the Ford oval has disappeared? i got a new body and bumper yesterday and the oval is gone, guess Ford wanted lots of money for it.

I'm looking to make a custom racing configuration with body wheels and tires that looks more along the lines of the old tamiya stadium trucks. Corr racing style. Scale realism is so cool in a big package like that. Might use some Nylint rock crawler tires . the full width body that covers the suspension may be impossible to find though
