the power curve becpmes greatly enhanced, actual power is not the gain , more were the power is produced and how fast the motors comes into the sweet spot.

I guess i'm trying to justify spending another 250 for a pipe when the 26cc zenoah ran 265 thats almost the same cost as the engine[:@]

Get an FG pipe i dont know about its performance vs the Samba but the price is alot less.

Did anybody try both[sm=confused.gif]to tell us the difference.

i have the Samba 3 and it does make a tremedous difference to engine performance. as if the 26cc wasn't already powerful enough. it is more than the fg pipe because it is in my view a much better performance upgrade. the powerband is just open wide and the engine delivers outragous performance whether you bash in your backyard or pro it make a whole heap of difference

for tuning results via a dyno on serveral pipes try this

http://www.rctek.com/dyno/zenoah_g230rc_dyno_test.html

I know what pipe I want but at $600.00 I think it will have to wait!

With the 260 the Samba 3 delivers 1.4 HP - from 3.9 to 5.3 HP at 13xxx RPM and 3.1 Nm.
The Samba 3 tune pipe delivers more power percentage-wise with the 260 than with the 230 as far as I know. Take that in mind while looking at this performance measuring: http://www.rc-car-online.de/dyno_260_04.jpg
This picture shows the 260/04 with a Samba 3 tune pipe. I guess the 230 with a tune pipe can deliver 4.5 HP +/- a bit.

If the 230 zenoah, with a tune pipe gives you around 4.5 hp..... what does the 230 give you stock with a stock pipe

I was in the book store saturday and I saw a review in a R/C magazine about the FG monster truck.
What I noticed was the tail pipe was run all the way to back of the truck.

Basically the stock can muffler with a 90 degree turn then on out the back. I haven't seen this in any of the pictures here.
Anyone have this on theirs? Wanna sell it?

I am still looking for someones stock monster truck muffler. The one that extends out the back of the truck.
The one on Ebay is the one that exits out the bottom that I saw.

I prefer someone in the US. I can paypal you.

would installing a performance airfilter make a dramatic change to engine performance?plmk

thanks

You dont understand the engine diagram dude, it has 2.6 nm (torque, blue line)
Horsepower is the red line

mrfisse: Take another and closer look. MJT is reading the graph correctly.

Blue is HP
Red is torque

At www.rc-car-online.de they have dyno runs of all the engines they sell.

You dont understand the engine diagram dude, it has 2.6 nm (torque, blue line)
Horsepower is the red line
Its the exact opposite

The blue line is showing horsepower (PS - Pferdestärke - German for HP) and the red line is showing the torque. I can't see how you could read the diagram wrong?
Again: The 230RC has an output of 2.6 HP at 12.500 RPM and a torque of 0.16 kgm at 10.000 RPM.

Whats important for you, is to remember that this is the G230RC engine at 23ccm. It has nothing to do with the G260RC used in your MT or my MB. The G260RC has an output of 3.9HP from stock - but that is a totally different story.

Yeah you are absolutley right, but that doesnt make sense, it cant have only 2,6 hp
The rc230/04 is supposed to have 3,6 hp.(According to the 2004 year FG catalouge)
Doesnt make sense that the 3 cc increase in cylinder size would give a 1,3 hp increase
But then again that engine diagram is from zenoah and not from FG, then FG must do something to the engine before they ship it with their car.
