Default Polycarbonate paints

Has anyone used Tamiya water based brush poly paints. up til now I have used their solvent based can paints which seem hard wearing.

Just done a test with brush on and it seems to scratch off rather easily

Im sure since you have painted bodies before you know to use a scotch bright pad and rough up the inside for the paint to bite to.
And of course you can never wash one too much. Its possible that the solvent base paint will let you get away with less prep.

I personally used the Createx water based paint on the last Savage body I did and it worked great.

Dont know about Tamiya's.

you are right, I do use a pad to rough up the surface. The solvent based spray then seems to stick really well. I did wonder if it etched the surface in any way.

I have only used Tamiya so have no experience of Createx or others.
