RE: M3 GTR pictures!
This is my first post... I have been checking this forum over the last few months as an off road 5th scale is in my very near future. It has been a lot of help for me reading everyones interests, concerns and opinions. So thanks to everyone as I have benefited from all of you. It is rare too see much on road interest in this forum. I put this RS5 together several years ago. I hope I uploaded the photos since I do not see them as I write this.

Thunderbird6,
Here is what has worked for me. Finding decals for the replica car you like is a exercise in making you own custom decals. Usually I get in good with a sign maker and give him scanned logos etc. to size. They charge by size so I try to put as many of the graphics I need with similar colors on a sheet. If you do this make sure the film they use is solvent resistent. I have been paying like $18 for a 11" x 14" sheet with one color vector graphics.
As far as the matte finish black trim. My sign dude told me where he gets his supplies. I sometimes go there to buy remnant sheets of film for like $2.50 to $5.00 for a sheet around 2 feet x 3 feet. They have matte films you can apply on the outside of your body and trim it out where needed. A tip if you use film, would be to use a heat gun (not to close or you will damage the lexan body) but it will allow you to strech the film smoothly over the contours of the body, within reason of course. I have also masked the outside of the body and sprayed black paint on the outside. It dries matte or satin depending on what paint you use.
Hope this at least gives you some options...
Regards,
