Default Does anyone own the Hobbytek wheelie-bar???

as above i have one on the way and it should be here any day now my question is does anyone own one as i have just realised that holes have to be drilled in the rear of chassis to accomodate the design of wheelie-bar?plmk guys, thanks

You don't have to drill any holes as long as your car is a Marder/MB/MT/Firehammer. These cars already have the right bolt pattern. You should enlarge the holes from 4 to 5 mm diameter since the bolts for the wheelie bar are 5mm. That's no big deal and some people just forced the screws with some oil through the existing holes in the chassis. Not exactly the smartest way, but a possible one. If you have a .20 drill bit, I'd prefer to use it.

Chevy - I take that personally

Yes - I have the bar - its the best thing since sliced bread... in relation to the MT that is.

No drilling here.. come to think of it no oil either... was in such a rush to get it installed we just used "manpower". I have 2 MT's and 2 wheelie bar's - IMO its a must buy.

rfaster, "manpower" is just a different word for "elbow grease" and grease is solid oil. So you used some oil, sort of...

Big - I ordered mine a while ago (think I got one of the very first in USA) - it was $150'ish shipped perhaps a little bit less. Funny thing is I could have just added it to my MT order - but when I ordered my MT the day before I forgot... In any event I have seen a few guys run "home made" bars for their mT's... and at the end of a session most are bent/broken - that's not going to happen with this one.
