rear brakes ? track surface ?
kind of a double post.
first
was thinking about getting a set of cable brakes (hydros are way to expensive)
can get them for under £45, now to put them on the front OR put them on the rear. so the wheels are actually braked instead of the drive train, i never liked this kind of brake.
second
today i ran on a new track which is a nice[:@] mix of sand and clay, so it sticks in everything.
what are yours surfaced with

RE: rear brakes ? track surface ?
If you put them on the rear you can rotate the car under braking in the corner, you know lock the brake turn it sideways. With front brakes you can not do this. What can also happen is with front brakes under haevy braking the rearend lifts to the point of losing tire contact and all the rear brake. not good.

Personaly, on an off roader, I would have thought disk brakes on the rear would be the better option.
If your on bumpy or uneven surface with the front end constantly bliping of the ground, front brakes would be a bit hit and miss.
Failing that bund disks all round
Just my opinion

mmm use a seperate servo for each side and mix them with steering to pull equal in straight line, but slightly harder on inside with turn.
don't think theres room on the radio tray though.
but i shall defenatly change the rear set up first.
