Shock oils - Wt confusion

Default Shock oils - Wt confusion

I recall the silicone shock oil inside the touring cars are known to be "5,000wt" - I'm a little confused if this is the same thickness of oil people refer to as in the nitro scene which would be 5,000wt diff oils (extremely viscous) used in the nitro 8th scale buggies.

Or is the 5,000wt actually referring to 50wt oils?
