by the way if your wondering about hyro brakes for your truck/beetle, they are amazing.
after you install them you can just adjust them from your radio. Very smooth and strong.

One of the first thing's I did was remove the anti roll bar. It's way too stiff.... Also changing out the shock oil for a lighter grade makes loads of difference.

Hmmm...was wondering about that too. I already switched to 50w shock oil. That made a fair difference, but not what I thought. Wish I could get this thing as smooth as my Tmaxx. It's like butter.

I run 40# oil and the truck is like butter. A problem that is overlooked is that the pistons are too tight in the shock bodies and really restrict smooth movement. sand down the pistons slightly and the truck will come alive.

RE: MT-5 Rear sway bar
Well it corners better with two shocks. next I will remove the sway bar and see how that works out.
It looks like it would be fine with four shocks. You would just have to get really lite oil so your susp-arms can absorb more bumps.
I picked up extra shock clips to adjust the ride hight throughout this test.
Your right about the sanding!!

I took my K+N off and put the stock filter back on. The K+N was letting dust to get in my motor, and yes I had it oiled and I had a pre-filter on it.

RE: MT-5 Rear sway bar
hmm.. prefilter?
and it does handle better without the sway bar!
you can see the chassi roll its weight in turns better. I have two shocks with three clips each.
This test was done in the rain on grass so Im sure it will do even better on a dry surface.
