If you had the right car Jared, I'm sure you will look forward to driving
Maybe having an in-car entertainment (if not already installed) would improve the boredom on the road

RE: jobs
That don't work gonesped69, i have all kind of gadgets in my real car.. homecinema, and allot of stuff that talks to me and flashes and beeps to protect me from hmmm it's almost like sitting inside a spaceship But all of that stuff was fun the first month or so, now i don't care if it's there or not. I don't use at all the cinema thing... only thing i think is useful is the "protecting" devices No, im not all that bad, i promise guys. Im a responsible drive, and im lucky there is that possibility to use the cruise-control especially when the throttle is so sensitive
I understands how Jared feels, when you are at that state there is no car or entertainment stuff that can bring back the wanting to drive, maybe only thing that would help is a year or so away from driving. Not including rc-cars.... at the moment i hope jared
What kind of work we all have, is this some sort of contest ? and it does not belong here at this forum that kind of questions.
Anyways, im what they call a computer specialist, and almost a programmer, but im pretty fed up with dealing with computers so i want to change to something else soon.
The main thing is that you like what you do, the money comes in second place, thats how i think... someone disagree with that way of thinking ?

RE: jobs
You don't need gadgets to make a better drive. I have just finished building a Dax Rush kit car. 1:1 scale It doesn't even have a heater or radio!
2000cc Ford Cosworth engine (340bhp) got it from a scap yard for around $800. Total strip and refurb + added tuning bits like remapped ECU and Greddy wastgate and dump valve.
Tubular steel chassis.
Fully adjustable suspension.
Made mostly from a Ford Sierra donor car ($200)
It should do 0-60 in under 4 seconds and top out at 155mph (not tested yet)!

No I dont think so... I use to look forward to "The Drive" but now it sickens me just the thought of it, unless maybe if I got one of those new International CXT.. You want to talk about a truck, this is a monster truck without the monster tires. I actualy have to go do an inspection at one of the only dealerships in Maine that have one in stock and I will take a picture of it with my car beside it. Here is a link to my "Dream Car". This thing is as big as an 18 wheeler tractor but with 4 doors and more..

PS. These babies sell for a smooth 100K.... That is what is standing between me getting one for sure!

At least I have a windshield! No bugs in my teeth
The Atom is a little quicker to 60 but the Rush is faster overall. Both are awsome on the track and just bonkers on the road!

Yeah, just down the road. I'm in Hucknall.
The pic is from the OC site. Mine is just going off for it's paint job. I'm going for classic red with chrome engine covers and roll bar. Plus 17" OZ alloys in metalic black.

I'm one of those teachers that you always hear about...you know, the ones who don't get paid enough. I also have a house payment, a wife payment, and three kids under five, who refuse to get jobs. [sm=tired.gif]
The only way that I was able to buy one of these FG beasties was to spend all of my tax refund $$$. Haven't been l@id since. [&o]

RE: jobs
You guys are all lucky you are able to work, I have been disabled for 10 years now, and I'm only 35 now. I have broken/crushed my lower back 5 times and have had 2 spinal fusions. I tried to go to college to be a machinist but the Dr. said it was a bad idea, so now I'm MR. MOM. I take care of my 3 year old daughter and we have a boy coming the end of June. I get to change diapers all day.

Jimbo, Sure you were not chocking the chicken too much?
As for my money to spend on my MT, I'm happily retired and collect a monthly stipend or two. Disability retirement/pension and in another 1 1/2 years I'm applying for Social Security before some chimp does away with it.
