Hey RC nut. Got the parts installed and letting it rip. You are a pleasure to deal w/. Things will go smother on my side next time. I been having oral surgery for the last week and dropped the ball w/ dave. Looking foward to duong buisness w/ you again in the future. GENE

And about the packing, when dave brought the Brand new in box MT over, it was loose in a gigantic box, just all over the place. I guess thats how they ship $1,200 machines from germany. Not cool.

RC, sounds cool keep me posted. I dont think my PM's are working.

Maybe the USA dealers are taking them out of the box for display purposes, by the time they sell it they've lost the packing and just throw back into the box. Still not happy if thats the case.

Dealer is taking care of it, now that i have calmed down, all is good. I get so upset when i pay lots of hard earned money, and i get a scuffed up body.

Definitely not cool. I pay the return shipping on all bodies that I spray for people. This includes wrapping the body in 2-3 layers of paper towels, Inserting in a plastic bag, laying it in a box on a bed of styrofoam peanuts and finally filling the rest of the box with either shredded paper or more peanuts. The cost is next to nothing.

We pay a lot of money for this hobby. Packaging and shipping is something that I feel falls short with a lot of dealers. Not to mention if UPS gets there hands on it. Lately I think the people who work there play football or rugby with the packages

A $200.00 to $250.00 order and they can't pack it with some old newspaper, packing peanuts, ?????? I would be quite wild myself.

I know what packing peanuts are...I was questioning why they would be so cheap as to not use some.

It just shows that aern't really fans of the hobby, its just a job for them. Proper packing costs a little more.

They play Football or Rugby ONLY if the package is marked "FRAGILE". The MT that I got was packed better in the box than I can pack/stuff a suitcase. Only bad thing about peanut packing is that if the peanuts get wet, they can get VERY MESSY and hard to clean. Had a water pipe break near the peanut hopper where I worked last year and it took almost 2 weeks to get the mess cleaned up, both in the hopper and surrounding area.

I'm going to keep names quiet for now. I don't want to bash and trash any names, at this point.

well, i got a call and they are going to take care of it no problam. i guess the body would have been ok with out the 2 sets of tires in the box, i ordered the body, then i called back and ordered the tires, so they opened the box and just put the tires in, maybe not realizing there was no padding in there, but i'm not sure. I didnt ask.

We all is well that ends well!

Glad to hear you are getting your problem sorted.

Most people make mistakes occasionally. How they remedy them is what shows you their true character and the fact that you let them shows yours.

LOL, come on, you know better than that, of coarse they knew there was no packing materiel in there, how could they not know? And even if you didn't order the tires and they had already packed the body with no packing material that is still wrong!
2 words:
CHEAP
LAZY
And for what this stuff cost one does not need the hassle of having to wait for a mistake to be straightened out.
I am a freight claim inspector, that is what I do for a living, I am a supposed packaging expert, part of my job is to go into companies and evaluate how they pack something and tell them how they can do it better to protect their product.
I see this stuff every day, and have the pleasure of telling people that the item they paid for that is now JUNK will not be paid for by the carrier who while they had whatever item in their truck got damaged for what ever reason, which all comes back to those TWO words above!
No excuse for such damage to happen.
Should have been FREE just for your hassle!
I think you should post the picture of the box as you got it in..

O yeah, there are laws believe it or not governed by the federal govt that tell how things shipped are TO be packed, It is the NMFC bill and it protects and governs shipping damage.
