Default New 1/6 Monster Truck by XTM

Did anybody see the new 1/6 scale monster truck by XTM at RCX? It looked pretty awesome. The guy said that it would be about $899. It looks just like the FG Monster Truck. Has anybody heard anything else about it?

The XTM 1/6 MT is a rebranded Smartech Bigfoot MT - take a look at one of the banner ads on top of this forum or look into the large scale 4 sale section for more information.

No, not the XLB. It is actually a copy of the FG monster truck

With all these copies coming out the suppy and demand should start to make these vehicles and there parts more cost effective

I went with the duratrax alloy shocks as a direct fit because they were not only better quality than the stock FG shocks, but they also cost less than half of the FG brand alloy threaded shocks. Fg better start looking at the competition and lower there prices or they are going to loose some serious market share

Yes, the Duratrax Firehammer shocks are identical to the ones on the FG Sporstline 2004 model + its anodized.

How much did you pay for a pair of complete Firehammer shocks a_vdk?

One problem with the 5th scale market not going to take off fast is simply eventhough the SMT clones are very affordable - compared to FG, the initial investment of at least U$700+ for RTR is still pricey for most people whereas U$300 for a nitro RTR is expendable money for anyone.

Once a person experiences the 1/5 scale stuff, they will gladly fork over the extra money, I know I did.

mylocal hobby shop doesn't have that part number. Woul dyou happen to have a link for the shocks? Wouldn't the frotn and rear shocks have the same part number since they look identical?

Here is the link to Tower Hobbies DuraTrax Firehammer parts list. everything you need including the Firehammer threaded shocks. I ordered a bunch of stuff on Monday and it only cost me $3.99 for shipping!!!

JMHO... but I don't think the parts cost much more than Nitro parts, and to boot they are a lot stronger. I cannot tell you how many times I have broken A arms on my LST. I am jumping a lot further and faster with my FH and I haven't busted one A arm yet, although I am trying harder since I put the Oneill brothers 29cc motor and bad arse pipe on her

Check out the link to TH and holla back!!!
