std MB/MT exhaust mod?
Hi all,
When i use my MB the exhaust leaks the oily/petrol mixture out of the pipe at the first rubber collor. i have put a small jubblie clip there, but that has only half worked. what have you done to stop the leaking. I know the obvious! but what could i do in the mean time to stio the oil going everywhere?
Cheers

I had the same problem so I zip tied a silicone hose along the points. Similar siz as the 1/8 scale nitro's, maybe a bit bigger. Now I use the 3pc FG until I bash it enough to get a Samba here.

Just squirt some thin cyan ito the joint. It'll never leak again..... Mid you, youll never get the bloody thing apart again either
Or get some Exhaust joint past from Halfords.

I tried cable ties but that didn't work for me as it still leaked. I am going to try and use some gasket sealer around the join and see if that works, shall keep you posted.

Cool. let me know how you get on with the gaskit sealer.
It seems to lean out of the small rivit on the forst part of the pipe.

I have taken a picture of the exhaust and have arrowed it to show where the leak is comming from.
...But i do think that the best and easiest bet would be to but a tuned pipe like the samba to elimate leaks in and around the engine bay area.
