Default Range on Futaba 2PEKA ?

Anybody know what the TRUE range is on the Futaba 2PEKA. I've got fail safes on both of my cars but would like to have an idea.
Thanks

Ive read in magazines that good quality fm systems are line of sight. Meaning as far as you can see it, on flat ground. I've had my JR out 300 yards +.

Thanks .... I guess I'll find out pretty soon since I just cleared 2 more acres to run on. My biggest concern is when I drive it down some of the natural slopes and lose site of the car for just a slit second then it's almost like I turned the radio off, but it starts working again .... kind of scary but I guess it should be expected.
Maybe I'll set up my deer stand in the middle of the run area and see how that works At least I won't be losing sight of the cars at 40 m.p.h.
As long as I keep the car in sight on the long straight shots I never have this problem and I'm talking over 1100 feet long runs, kinda gets hairy when running 2 cars thru the curves from that far away though

i have found most radios run out well after you can see the model.
i found when you really get far away, there is a noticable delay on moving the stick and the car moving.
either that or the sound wave take so long to travel the distance

I noticed that also. The delay or the sound delay when far out.

The radio signals travel at just below the speed of light (186,000 miles/sec) so fast that you'd never notice a delay over any distance. So the delay you are sensing is just the sound traveling (just over 700 miles/hour) over land and long distance.

The sound will take hundredths of a second to get to your ears, the radio signals take millionths of a second to travel even 1,000 feet.

The FCC regulates the output of all personal transmitters to 4 watts.

At that 4 watts the effective range is about 1/4 mile or so. That's 1,320 feet line of sight.

You'd have a hard time seeing a 3 foot long, 1.25 foot tall car at a 1/4 mile in a field. When it gets that far away bring it back.
