Not normaly unless you run a real lean oil mixture or want to super tune the engine.
I checked the temp a few times on my 1/5th scales like I did with my nitros but learned it wasn't needed at all.
You can run these all day on hot days and not worry. They cool better due to a large fan flywheel and shroud that cools the motor all the time.
These are so much more fun than finicky nitros.

hey selwa its me michael i go to canadian tire on the queensway. i drive a savage 25 with the hpi carring case with wheels.
i know morley and steve and karl and chris. and my name is speedygonzales on offroad rc too.
i currently have nothing but my savvy. but am looking into the hobbie allot im thinking of a fg.
