Clutch bell options?
I have found the weak link in my MT5...The clutch. I started the weekend with a stock clutch and stock two-speed clutch bell. Friday night I broke one of the shoe bolts in the clutch; Result: locked clutch. Repaced the clutch with the teflon four shoe ($125) tunning clutch. The tunning clutch (FG# 10525) works well maybe too well; Saturday I was hill climbing and seperated the clutch bell from it's shaft. This brings me to my question: Does anyone make a better clutch bell for the two speed? Ie harm, Laughterbacher,FG etc.
By the way this damage occured with the visco diff and plastic drive gears, no damage to either.

RE: Clutch bell options?
i think you just got a bad one? is the clutch bell purple or blue in color? it might be slipping causing the bell to heat up and eventually fall apart. because it will expand and can twist off the shaft.
I have a 3 shoe adjustable and so far no issues with the stock 2 speed clutch bell.
good luck....
