Absolutely. There are various companies that sell lighting for r/c cars or lights that can be adapted for r/c cars. OR you can make up a custom set for yourself.

I once made a custom set of lights for a clodbuster out of a small set of lights i bought at a party store.

Isn't there a way to power the lights off the engine? Coil maybe? I know there is a way I just don't remember how.

You would need a generator of some sort. They sell something like that for r/c planes that can power something or recharge the battery but i doubt it would be worth the trouble as a set of small lights will run for quite a long time on just one 9v battery. OR if you have a big enough reciever battery you could run the lights straight off that.

I made my own light design .. using very very bright leds... and flashlight bulbs.. not exspenxive to do.. but through a company it is.. if you have an idea of what you want let me know.. maybe I can wire something up for you.. here are some pictures of my monster beetle.. I run the lights off my receiver battery... they draw very little current ..... Garnet

You could also get one of the New Bright RC cars/Trucks from Wal-Mart and use them. I gutted the body out and just use the shell for my MT and power the lights with a 9 v battery housed in a separate box.

Pep Boys has those round, external, type of lights. You can hook them up to your receiver battery, or a 9v battery.

You guys drive at night? In the dark?

I've driven my cars in well lit Walmart parking lots, but not in total darkness.

Me too scared to slam into something.

Yea i rarely run my r/c at night anymore but thats because i dont want the neighbors calling the cops. Back when i had a bullhead (clodbuster) that i put lights on i used to run it at night all of the time. Although it was usually on the street with lights, sometimes i ran it in a totally dark back yard and one of the best times i ever had with it was when i brought it to the shore with me and ran it at like 2am on the beach.
Come to think of it maybe the next time i goto the beach i'll run the marder on the beach at 2am until the cops come...lol...then again maybe not

Every once in a while I'll crank up the MT and send it across the street onto the Golf Course. Don't want to get too close to the ponds though. Not worried about the gators, just worried that I might not see the waters edge in time to turn or stop. As long as I do not drive it on the greens or sand traps and just stay on the fairways, I don't think they would mind. With the Hummer body which has headlights and tail lights it looks pretty cool.
