It looks wicked, but you can no longer view it at the New Era site. I keep getting some sort of error message.
I did get the name, H4X4 Magnum. Have to look into this.

RE: You gotta see this!!!
I thought I read somewhere were there's a problem getting a gas engine to work with a centre diff. Since it's on a different angle the engine's weight and torque would make the truck push more to one side of the chassis. Almost like twisting the truck over. Imagine pushing the gas in mind air. The truck would surely twist over.
Still if someone has the time and skills it would be nice to see too!! I'd still like to see a reasonable 4x4 conversion though.

I think it would be a bit of work to get it done, I also think you would need to widen the chassis a bit. Here is the link to all the parts you get, you will also need a set of kong wheels and tires and a engine.

Hey Guys,
Although the kit sells for 499.00, it's ths basics. They recommend a bigger motor, bigger tires and a list of alloy upgrades that would take the total conversion to about 800.00. I would like to see if you could get the Honda GHX50 mini 4 stroke engine in it. That would be cool.

I just gave them a call, the kit will be available in 2 weeks. I was interested in a body, which looks like the MT 5. I wasn't able to get a price for the body seperate. But if you go with there recommendations with the kit, you're looking at 995.00 and that's not to include the Savage. You might as well buy the MT5.

It looks very interesting and nice, but inserting a 23-26cc gasoline engine like we use would be hard, and allot of reinforcement would need to be done, and probably forget to use the standard drive-chain, cause i would think that have to be beefed up to. And the shocks needs to be stronger, but in the end... i do think you are up in the cost of a new FG monster truck anyways... maybe allot more, and probably have very poor handling of the car.
But anyways, nice to see that New Era is taken a interest in bigger scale, hope they will expand to Fg parts and go even further soon [sm=thumbup.gif]

The Compagnucci thread is still hanging on. [&:] The motor needs a two speed tranni.
Look what R3 Team did with a TMaxx Chassis and a Savage shell:

I think that even the Compagnucci engine would have a hard time fitting into that truck...no way a Zenoah would fit. [&o]

If the made a kit to install a zenoah 260 I will be the first in line. With nitro yo can keep it. The larger the nitro engine the harder it is to keep in tune. The worst of both worlds? Both heavy and frusterating plus $30 a gallon to run.

RE: You gotta see this!!!
A guy at our local flying field flies a piper cub 1/4 scale with a gx31 honda 4 stroker in it...its not very large about the size of the homelight 23cc when it's trimmed all down...it's alot smaller actually than my xtm 23cc engine in my gaser....he purchased it online [link=http://home.att.net/~carrprecision/Page3.html]here[/link]...they pretty much removed all the useless metal on the engine to make it alot smaller....it has no covers over the engine at all either...not sure how it'd work in a rc car...but it's hella sweet on a airplane alot of torque to swing some huge props....the 50cc I've heard has one major problem..it's made to be totally horizontal it can't have any lean at all to it..it's not designed with that same oil sump system as the smaller 31 and 25...nice thing with these little 4 strokers is they cost like $200 and got a awesome sound to them..here's a link to a [link=http://www.auav.net/honda/]video[/link] of one running

It sure would be nice to have an engine that ran on regular unleaded gas, but then I guess you'd also have to change the oil...every three thousand miles?
It would be pretty cool to hide out in the bushes and drive the MB up to a Jiffy Lube for an oil change and a 14 point inspection.......mount a walkie talkie under the shell, so I can talk to the guy.
"Hey, buddy. Don't forget to vacuum out the interior!" [8D]

Love that Honda engine badz, thanks for the info !! [sm=thumbup.gif] Sure would like the Honda 31cc 4stroke, instead of the 26cc 2stroke any day.
