RE: Ball drives
I have seen a Ball drive for the Carson Attack and Comanche, but I don't remember where, probably at http://www.rc-car-online
But if you upgrade, then you likely also want to upgrade your diff., and if you change the Firehammer diff. for an FG Alu Diff, then you should be able to use the FG Ball drive.
Chevyman_De should be able to clarify that.

RE: Ball drives
H.A.R.M. makes a ball drive for Carsons, available in two lengths. You need the shorter one for the Attack and the long one for the Comanche.
No. we don't have them at rc-car-online. You should get them from the abc-onlineshop, but knowledge in German language would be helpful since there is no English version of the shop.
If you swap the diff for an FG unit you'll be able to use FG ball drives, but there is no version available to fit the Comanche. The advantage of the FG parts is their availability outside of Germany. You could ask the H.A.R.M. distributor whether he can get the parts for you, but if you're in need for a spare later it would hardly help to ask your fellow drivers.
Upgrading to an alloy diff case is always a good idea and we have a good price for a FG alloy diff complete with bearings and internal gears. But if you need new drive drive cups only, buying a diff and ball drives would be 5 to 6 -times the expense.[&o] Frankly speaking I would wait until more parts of the rear axle need to be replaced before considering such an expensive swap.
