Marder wandering on idle[fixed].
I dont know if it's normal that the idle goes up and down or if it's a problem.. i've the idle set so it almost sometimes stops and sometimes it almost wanna go away.. and it's not a problem connected to the servos.. i know that the throttle cant go further back..
Anyone else got this problem.. well not really a problem.. but i want it to be perfect

It sounds like your low end needle is set a little lean to me. That will cause cooling issues on idle which will make the idle rough at times if left after some hard running.

if i set the L needle lower it wont start.. it's close to dying... well sometimes when i drive hard and stop it's high sometimes low... but i guess maybe i tuned it when it weren't warm.. i thought so.. well could this be a problem.. does the engine run leaner when it's warm?

It's a bit hard to diagnose over the net but it sounds to me that your carby may be loose and sucking air past a gasket. I had this problem with my dirt bike and it drove me MAD for weeks.

I don't think a home made prefilter/airbox could cause your trouble on its own. I had those symptoms because air was getting in after the carby.
Try this. with your car running at idle spray around the carby and head but not on the air filter with some "AEROSTART" this is diesel engine starter in a can (ether) WD40 or CRC lube spray works as well.
when you spray this on, if there is an air leak the engine will rev higher giving you an idea of where the air leak is.

My dad had an idea that it might be that cos of the prefilter and airbox it sucks air from som leak just cos of that it's to heavy to get it from the filter.. well gonna test everything i can then ill tell what happens
ill try this next week..

RE: Marder wandering on idle.
it may be a tiny air leak somewhere which can be causing eratic tic-over my zenoah engine done it for a while until a changed a few gaskets and realized ther was a tiny hole in the top of my fuel line look for any broken or worn gaskets or fuel lines, also check the insulator gasket connected to the cylinder in front of the carb.

RE: Marder wandering on idle.
Well i've found the problem and fixed it.. the problem were my airbox.. that let to little air into the engine at idle... i made 6 extra holes in it now.. just tried it.. now it's a happy bunny
it also seems that the reason it wouldnt stick 2 the same RPM all the time were cos of a tiny leak in the airbox... well now it's sealed better=) so all the problems are a memory
thx for helping everyone
