Default Zenoah G26 cut out question on FG Beetle

Hi there,

I bought a second hand FG Marder Monster Beetle recently and I have been having problems keeping the engine running. The engine starts ok but then runs for about 15 to 20 seconds before it dies. I can rev the engine or just leave it idling and it runs for about the same amount of time. I've looked at the plug, looks fine. I dismantled the entire carb and cleaned it - made no difference. I have also tried changing the mixture needles but the problem remains. It almost seems as if there is a fuel blockage but I can see there is fuel always running through the clear plastic primer while the engine is running.

The engine is a G26 (red spark cap) with a big bore kit 27cc and a ADA Racing JuiceBox.

I wonder if the "Juice Box" is causing the problem? I have no idea how this gadget works.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Try removing the Juice Box and just use the manifold. I would also check the gaskets. How is the compression?

Spudtoo post a pic of the engine. Maybe the box might be backwards? Just a thought !
I'll compare it to mines, we seem to have almost the same specs. engine-wise !

Lean dies, rich runs!
Sounds like it is going lean as you rev it. Check for Air leaks.
