1/5 scale 4x4 from power racing
Iwas at the ihobby expo at the LA convention center..alot of funseeing the new stuff. I also saw the bead locking wheels and they are NICE. I also saw the in prototype version of the Power Racing 1/5 scale 4x4 nice machine. The release date is before the end of the year. It is a shaft driven 4x4 that seems to be overbuilt (good thing). The Gentleman I spoke to said he is going to Tiawan for final testing in two weeks. after approval they can go to production within two weeks. This looks to be a valid contender in 1/5 market. I have pictures but do not know how to download.
The HPI looks more for racing then bashing. It seemed to be very well thought out and has I high build quality but I would prefer a racer/basher.
The word from FG is the 4 wheel drive kit will be out within 2 months. The hold up is that during testing the belt was cathing to many rocks, therfore a tunnel had to be designed and produced and re-tested. The 4x4 for kit will only fir the Marder and Marder beetle. It will not be ready for the monster or leapord until much later in the year.
With the two speed and 4x4 option I think the fg marder is the best option out there right in 1/5 scale.

If you have them on your computer, Go to www.photobucket.com and sign up. If you have them on your camera then plug in your USB cable to the camera and the USB port. Then a box should pop up which will guide you through the rest of the process. Then use photobucket.com to upload them. Why wont the 4wd kit fit the Monster or Monster beetle?

It was explained to me that the diff cases are different on the monsters along with the bulk heads therefore the 4x4 diff will not fit .

Looking at pictures, the only difference appears to be the front arms, so I think it could be made to fit the Monster with minimal mods. If I can make this fit on the Bigfoot this will be the truck I am getting.
