Default Firehammer 23cc CY Starting Problem Found

I was running a stock Firehammer (23cc CY engine) for around 30 minutes, stopped it and could not restart it. After trouble shooting several areas I found that the lock-tite on the muffler had worked loose allowing the muffler to be slightly loose. I guess just enough to get a little debris around the muffler inlet. When I took the muffler off it started right up and ran fine after cleaning it and reinstalling the muffler. This again happened later in the day as the muffler screws loosened. I had noticed thge muffler screws had loosened when I was originally troubleshooting but I only tightened them back down I didnt look and clean the debri. Just to mention I was running the car with the canopy off.

That's a new one. My Firehammer muffler never had this trouble. In fact I transplanted the CY muffler from my stock Firehammer engine over to my new Zenoah G260. I didn't use any locktite during the swap so I better go check those bolts and lock them down as soon as possible.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yea, I found the loose muffler and debri to be the cause of my starting problems on two occasions. Ive still got a blister on my finger from trying to start the motor. Without the muffler the engine started right up.......................Im going to have to locktite the two muffler bolts again however as they managed to work themselves loose after a couple tanks. So far, so good...............the stock engine starts so easy now, runs great!
