RE: I got the fastest Marder EVER (I think)
ORIGINAL: vortecks
This may be a stupid question but I've gotta ask.......
I've just bought a Futaba FP-T7UAP (7 channel) transmitter and a Futaba R136F (6 channel) receiver (both are 35mhz but no crystals).
Can these be used together and what crystals do I use and where from?
I'm only used to a simple 2-channel setup but I need more for the extra things I've gotta use for the project so I've no idea.
Any ideas anyone?

Those are both Aircraft Items...the transmitter and receiver....I don't think you'll make many RC Flier's happy using those on your RC Car/Truck.....the crystals can be bought in pairs....receiver and transmitter

I've just part-exchanged the TX and RX for a complete new setup @ 40mhz so problem solved.

RE: I got the fastest Marder EVER (I think)
Well the 1st test start yesterday was a disaster.
The NGV was about 1/10th mm off centre so as soon as the rear compressor blades heated up, they started catching on the NGV - Consequently, it didn't run for long.
I stripped the turbine and, luckily, no damage was done so I've set everything central.
Today's the day

It's DivX video so you need the Codec (if you haven't already got it installed)
Get it from [link=http://www.divx.com/divx/play/download/]HERE[/link]
I'll redo it later in mpg format.
I'm off out to try again now so no time at the moment.

Very very cool
A suggestion to the video format - try WMV (Windows Media Video). Smaller than MPG and almost 100% compatibility

OK.
It looks like the web server is getting a hammering and you're being rejected so.............
If you have FTP access, try this:
IP 83.67.98.191
Username rc
Password universe
(both lower case)
OR
Try this link:
[link=ftp://rc:[email protected]]CLICK HERE[/link]
All 3 versions are in there

Download is quite slow - Vortecks - you want me to host it on my web hosting service?
This video would look very cool on our club's list of videos if you don't mind me posting there

The police turned up 5 mins after the last startup - you'll see why in the video.
What club are you part of?

Vortecks - I run the website for our local RC club - see sig for details
I think the best bet would be to turn off your server, email me (gonspedATyahoo.com) the file, then I can straight upload them to our web hoster and it will be a fast download for every single person downloading it. Its a US hosting provider so ya'll don't have to worry it won't come from Oz
What do you think?
