No GO!?
HELP!@
I was driving my FG MT on a track today for about 20 minutes and doing fine, then I seemed to loose power all together. The engine sounds good...sounds the same as usual, but it's not putting power to the wheels. Any ideas?
Thanks

RE: No GO!?
There are a few things to check.
1...check the drive squares on the rear axles and make sure they aren't slipping
2...check the spur gear carrier, make sure it isn't slipping on the layshaft
check those first and let us know if it is still not working

I think you're right rcnutshobbies. If I put my finger on the large gear(48tooth), and push the truck with enough force the spur gear is slipping. The gears themselves look fine.

RE: No GO!?
Also check the pinion if it is plastic. I have stripped out a few. The engine would rev fine but the spur and other gears will not move. Also when I let off the throttle the clutch bell would continue spinning for 30 seconds or more because there is no load on the pinion gear.

AIRSAVAGE....don't bother getting the stock plastic one again, it will strip out again. Get the alloy gear carrier or get the set to convert the spur to a steel gear.

It's actually the 48thooth that's letting the shaft slip.

RE: No GO!?
i agree - sounds like the "d" has rounded off inside the carrier - commen problem - more so on the mt/mb because the torque in the gearing.convert to alloy carrier with upgraded steel spur
