Default Firehammer Parts

So Is Tower hobbies the main supplier for replacement parts? I was going to order a replacement spur and pinion gear after Christmas but tower doesnts have them in stock until the end of January. Who else carries these replacement parts?

you can also order direct from duratrax, all you have too do is just call them

I called duratrax today & they only SELL parts for wood airplanes so still out of luck with backordered parts..

huh?well they sent me my windows screens for my firehammer??????? at no costs........,did you ask them if there wasany other places other then tower too get parts?

Contact MMR and see if you can pick up their gears from the FG marder. They are probably stronger, and their pricing isnt too bad.

I was told if you switch too the fg pinion/spur gears, you have too change the engine mounts as well, get ready too spend some $$$$,if you want too switch everything ove too fg componets, but once you cwitch it all over too FG, can you use duratrax pinion/spur again, with the FG engine mounts?

I dont believe so, but then again, i'd rather have the higher quality FG gears over the "duratrax" ones.

No you cant use the clone pinion once you have switched over to FG motor mounts.

You can always just get a steel pinion for the clone and call it good you can even add clone alloy motor mounts to your Firehammer/traveller.

The only thing better about converting to FG parts is if you want to use the 2 speed....... other wise why bother
