Default Upgrades for Leopard Race

I'll be getting a used Leopard Race sometime. I was wondering what upgrades you guys have done to them. Keep in mind I have a Marder with all alloy and 4 cable brakes. Some of this will be going there. Just wondering if I need to change the front to aluminum. If not all what should I start with?

Joe,

you don't really need alloy. I would go with a 2 speed and a set of cable brakes. Maybe a nice vs stadium body.

Thanks Mike!

I may do something like that. 2 speed... that would fly for sure!! I'll have to put my 26CC in there since it's coming with a 23CC. I wish I could sell my Harm on-road soon too!!! If it wasn't for those damn property taxes on the house!!!

Your affair with the Harm on-road didn't last long. Couldn't find a place to run it or just enjoy being in the dirt more?

Not that at all. There's a few parking lots arounf here were they are building more stores so I have lots of room.

It's just that I've modified my Marder so much and now I'm getting a Leopar Race as well. So they wife is fine with 2 but 3 is pushing it. Sine I bought it at a great price it's not bad selling it too. Just the wong season to seel up here.

Who knows maybe somehow I'll keep all 3!!! No worries though.

An Alu Alloy gear plate is a good idea, specially if you go for the two speed.

Two speed, gear plate, alloy motor mounts, steel pinions..leave the rest stock. Comes with: good brakes,bullet-proof diff and a pipe. The leopard and the marder race are the best bargains in the FG catalog when you consider what they come with.
