Default MB Body Paint.

Well I was just about finished painting my MB body and everything was looking better than I had hoped then I get the grand idea of buying some "window tint" paint for the windows and low and behold I have ruined the thing! The paint bled through my 3 coats of red!!!! Grrrrrr. Now I am at my wits end and give up. I am just going to buy another body. Question is, is there a place I can have the new body painted and painted right? I have searched the net abit and most places I found seem abit shady at best.

I have used that window tinting spray myself and found out that you have to mask of everything that was already painted before spraying it so it wont bleed through. Sorry to hear about your bad luck with it.

there is a product called easy lift off ,it is available at e-hobbies & it removes paint from lexan bodies without damaging the body..It might be worth a try for you instead of buying a new body..

I think I am going to order another body and give it a go again. Everything was going great with this one till I just had to have window tint.

Zielke does some nice work, but I would not go as far as saying its the best, I had him do a body for me once.

Hey, tape up the windows and a border around them. Paint it silver ( all this done on the outside of body) then take a small paint brush and put dots every inch or so. It will give you the bolted on window look and save the body. Next time just use black in your airbrush and do a light spray.

good luck.

hmm, just noticed the roof, you could paint a square there in black and then paint small silver dots along the edges so it looks like a metal repair was done there. Really, it would look good. Use some imagination.
