HPI Large scale monster truck
2nd attempt:
Just found this on a web site:-
HPI MONSTER TRUCK
This is a sneek preview at the Monster Truck being developed at HPI. It seems like the boys are serious about the Large scale scene after dominating the Nitro scene for years.
This model looks big. More info to come this week.
See ya

RE: HPI Large scale monster truck
That MT is not developed by HPI, it is the Power Racing MT in 1/5 scale.
We heard a lot about it about half a year ago and since then nothing. The aim is said to be under a thousand dollars RTR...Yeah RIGHT!
Here is the thread...

RE: HPI Large scale monster truck
Dont know who makes it but SG clearly states that HPI are developing it now. Maybe, but unlikely that they have taken over/bought the design?

RE: HPI Large scale monster truck
Well, that´s pure speculation...
Seriously, IF HPI are drawing up a large scale MT (and I´m sure they have a midget-sized engineer stowed away in some basement somewhere doing "forbidden research"...), I am pretty sure it will look a far sight better than the Power Racing truck.
If you compare the apparent build quality of the Baja5b and the Power Racing MT, they are miles apart.
No, my guess is that this is some sort of misunderstanding, or the site you mention not checking their sources correctly.

RE: HPI Large scale monster truck
Maybe hpi got lazy and decided to just buy that design. If that is true then there will probably be more hop ups available for it since it will be made by a bigger company.
