You are exactly right Paul. Most of my money that I have has gone onto the scoob. They said they would help me out a little. so I don't know. We gotta move first.

Why don't you focus on a job and let your parents keep the money. They can't finance their retirement! Plus you will have more satisfaction from your own money.
Sorry, I will stop the lecture

Hay, someone in the same boat as me, well almost. Uni is not for everyone is it.

I hope I don't have to wait too long for my dream R/C car. (if you don't know what it is read previous posts above)
ORIGINAL: J_D

hey darren i know how u feel, about finding whats best for you. I quit uni this year too, after studying 3 years of physics, and now I'm looking at going into drafting and design drawing next year but just working like crazy atm (2 jobs) for some $$$ in the bank.

Hope u save up enough for ur dream 1/5th car

Don't wotty guys, as soo as I get the car, you will be the FIRST to here about it!!!

dazza

bloody hell mate didn't know you were still knocking about

told ya' you should have kept your mb anyway good news is there is a better choice of largescale r/c out at the moment, i've just bought the new version mcd shaft driven 1/5 scale mt and i thought my fg mb was big well compared to the mcd its small, you gotta see one of these neww mcd's to appreciate just how bloody big they are

sorry uni didn't work out mate its not for everyone really but it worked for me since i graduated in 94' i've been in full-time employment and now run and own my on web creation firm, it is hard working on a computer but the wages balance that out

look forward to seeing your future new large-scale

Well, like original.mb said it's not for everyone. However, you might look back in a few years after uni and think the money you earn now is worth it. That's what I am doing. I did mine while I was in the Military, which took me forever because of my job, and I thought that I was in for a career. But after 11 years and two kids I decided to get out. Now I am a VP of a corp. and love it. But, you have to be happy!

Hi guys, I am still about and still job hunting and still wanting an HT1.

Since I last was on here, my parents and I have now moved some 30 miles north. We are 7 mins for Santa Pod and about 20 mins from Milton Keynes Centre.

I heard somewhere, that there is now a HT2? now wheres that link, hold on.....

.....Found it http://www.nenevalleyraceway.co.uk/F...opic.php?t=793

Where can I source a HT1 here in the UK. How are now the UK importers?

Cheers

Job hunting sucks, I'm doing the same thing as we speak, been doing it for quite some time now to. This time of years sucks for Structural welder.

I thought Uni was a company that made air filters.

Off subject here, lets see some pics of your Scooby.

Uni = University.

Hope you guys circle back to school and get your degree. I spent about 3 years between high school and university working in crappy retail and restaurant jobs. It helped motivate me to go back to school. I got my BS in Electrical Engineering and write software for a living. The earning potential is huge compared to a job that does not require a college degree. I have a nephew who is brilliant but did not finish college. He thinks $15 USD per hour is good money to support a wife and three kids. I haven't told him but he has no clue.

Party, party, That was high school.
Jump from job to job after that. 7 years later I went back to a tech school and got my licensing for boiler, HVAC, CFC, electrical, Back flow, and others and joind the union. I work as a Operating Engineer doing maintenace work.
The pay compared to no school, is about 3 to 4 times differnt.

thank christ for that!! its been the longest comeback on record what track are you resident to???
nene? top choice with the ht2[8D] its the best car on the market by miles. did you get it through gresty/jason the 5hitstop shop or somewhere else??
i know gresty gets his big order on monday, only taken 6 weeks !!not grestys fault tho, mr hoermann has had a shock with demand i think, but with good reason.
if you orderd through 5hitstop be prepared for a possible llllooooonnng wait[>:]

Tell me about it

I have ordered it through PG Racing. He already has some on order and has put my name next to one. His last order took 6 weeks, so I don't know about this order and neither does he.
