WHAT TO BUY NEXT FOR FIREHAMMER
This question is directed at you hellya for your the one I'll buy from but I would like others opinion.I have about 250 I'm willing to part with and I'm happy with the stock speed of the hammer so I'm not ready to buy a pipe YET.I'm having problems stripping gears and I already replaced engine mounts. The stock brakes suck and I'm running without any at the moment, so the question is to those of you who have already done so where should I spend my 250$?What would you do if you could do It over again? The parts with the most requests are where my money is going so please don't STEER me wrong.
Pun intended
thanks in advance
My thoughts were
alloy engine mounts
alloy rear uppers
alloy pinion and or allot spur but I've read you need a weak spot so keep spur plastic
Hellya I hope you have the winners in stock cause I'm only gonna let the poll go for a day or too then I'm buying and I would like to keep the money where I know I'm supporting someone with alot of usefull info

steel pinion, alloy upper rear a arms, 60mm alloy spur gear carrier (keep the spur gear plastic)
Alloy motor mounts or use some slightly oversized screws in the stock mounts and super glue them.
Definately get a tunepipe at some point......alot of different kinds

I agree. The upgrades you mentioned and get a spare spur gear just in case. The brakes before the pipe for sure. If you can't stop it now how will you when it's going Mach 1 !!
I'm very happy with my tunning cable brakes. Hydros would be great but no support for them here unless I get FG's and they cost a fortune otherwise I'd get Hellya's hydros!!

RE: WHAT TO BUY NEXT FOR FIREHAMMER
I have a Firehammer and have gone through too many gears on it. To bullet-proof the drivetrain I have done (and recently ordered) the following:
- FG 8485/05 Two-way manually adjustable limited slip differential (also need new FG diff side outdrives) (RC Nut's, FG Performance RC, etc.) - $210
- Hardened steel pinion (from hellya/HobbyThek) - $35
- Extreme duty layshaft gear and extreme duty diff ring gear (from hellya/HobbyThek) - $85
- Alloy spur gear carrier (sticking with plastic spur gear) (from hellya, RC Nut's, FG Performance RC)- $20
My suspension arms break from time to time but plastic is cheap and breaks because I run into something. The stock gears and diff have worn down (broken diff case) due to poor quality. I can handle replacing broken plastic but can't stand stripping crapy gears.
If you want to avoid spending money on the FG diff you could get a Duratrax hardened case from Tower (cost $50):
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHUB2&P=7
You won't get limited slip adjustment in the diff with the Duratrax case but it is hardened and won't break like the stock plastic unit.
Just my $0.02
