Default fg marder diff cover

Hi,
I am based in the UK and am having problems with stones getting jammed between the chassis and the underside of the differential casing on my fg marder race. The result is chunks of metal being ripped out of the diff casing(6065), and the plastic gear housing(6064) being bent out of shape. Does anyone know of a uk supplier of a cover to enclose the diff, to stop the diff being destroyed for the third time.Any help would be greatly recieved especially a part number/web site address.I did see one on the web But I forgot the web address.................Please remember I am in the U.K...any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks,
Tony

take the engine out and build up bsilicone either side of the casing.go to mid way up the tube both sides. coat the diff tube with grease to stop silicone sticking.you will never have troublew again.

If you raise the dif do you have to raise the engine or anything else?

No you will only have to add a 10 mm spacer/washers to this brace where it bolts to the large mount

You might also need to adjust the gear mesh between the diff and the layshaft if you add risers. When you raise the diff straight up, you decrease the distance between the gears. The solution is to raise the engine mounts slightly, I added washers under the rear engine mount screws. You can easily feel and see if the gears are too tight or too far apart. Make sure that you have good mesh, I have ruined a layshaft gear because the gears were too far apart.

I've tried the diff raisers but I found that the rear right ball end hit the engine. So to solve the problem and make it cheaper I used 2 pcs of Aluminum to raise the diff and the engine up. After doing this I've ran the same diff shell for over 1 1/2 years now.

just do the silicone mate, job done.also you maintain lower centre of gravity and kess weight.less inertia in the drivetrain means better stopping and acceleration. with the steel tube you can still get stones stuck causing massive trauma to your tranny.

I remember seeing a plastic diff cover on here. It fitted over the diff and bolted down onto the chassis. Cant remember who posted about it or where to buy them.

Anyone know of it?

Hellya's Top Scale Tuning Diff cover works perfectly with the non adjustable diff, that comes with the Leopard Race.

I bet, that the chassis plate bends easier than this SS Diff Cover
