RE: Fg Marder Gears
if your running monster rims its 16 pinion/48 spur.
marder rims its 18 pinion/46 spur 16 layshaft.
you can keep 16 layshaft for all rims.
carriers fit both above.

RE: Fg Marder Gears
gearing depends on what wheels size your using, marder rimms normally use 18/46 + 60mm carrier, monster truck use 16/48 + 60mm carrier, touring car gears use the smaller carriers

No, the 20t pinion gear cannot be used with the 46t spur gear. You will have to match a 20t pinion to a 44t spur (I have that combination). To fit a 44t spur you also need a smaller spur gear carrier, 57mm instead of 62.
Consider though that that a 20/44 gearing is considerably slower in acceleration, but fast. The difference is quite noticeble. Only switch if you have an engine that has torque, like a 26cc or bigger. It was not a good gearing at all for my old 23cc.

RE: Fg Marder Gears
what about using that taller gearing when usuing smaller size on road wheels?
when i go car park bashing with the on road wheels it tops out too quickly, cos of the smaller size wheels

I also have the 20 and 44 plus the alloy gear carrier combo but haven't tried it yet. I can still return it and get something else.
Wondering if it's worth having then as you say you need a 26CC or more. MY Marder race has the 26 with a Samba and I use both spiked wheels and monsters. But my Leopard Race is a 23cc and will have a Samba on it soon but I'd like to get some more speed out of it.
If I return the stuff I can get the metal disk brake conversion for the Leopard!
Any thoughs?

Hmmm tough question Selwa. Not if you should get the steel disc conversion for the Leopard..., my friends experience is that it is not worth the money. Made no real difference.
Don´t think the 20/44 is the way to get "good" speed out of the Leo, though. Sure, it will go fast, but it will lack a lot coming out of corners. If I were you, I´d return the gear parts and get a 26cc kit for the Zen.
