Default choke removel,on 26cy,does it work ?

is choke removel a good move?(26cy-engine)
some say better performance,
any info wud be nice,
plus is it easy to do?

On my 260 all you have to do is take the screw out of the round choke plate at the back of the carb. I can't emagine you will get that much more performance out of it to make it worth the extra effort in starting. OMO

if you do de-choke it (i have and recomend it) make sure you remove the carb before you do it otherwise you may lose the small spring and ball down the crank case![:@].
you have to plug the butterfly holes with screws or grub screws, seal them with loctite.im also in the process of smoothing the inside of the carb with jb weld for better air flow.

why mess around? ghet a 257 carb and a filter vstack set up with the choke built in the Vstack
