Default MT Cable Breaks

[sm=confused.gif]

Does anyone know if the FG 8450/1 for the 1:5 scale truck cable brakes will work on the FGMT without changing anything or am I better off just getting the 6250/01's or 03's. And what is the difference with the /01's vs /03's?

I am assuming the 8450/1 must be made for the semi truck?
Thanks...........

Yes, the 8450/1's will fit the MT, as I have been using them for the past year on my monster beetle..

The correct cable brake to get for the FG MT is 6250/7. You also need to get alloy upright 6103/6. This puts the caliper at the back of the upright and the cables are properly run along the wishbones.

One more for ya....
What is the difference between the 06250/03 - Front disk brake for Monster Truck and the 06250/07 - Tuning disk brake front for Monster Truck?
I was thinking of getting the 6250/03's cause they where cheaper($109). Is there a benifit to the 6250/07's?

The difference between 6250/3 and 6250/7 is the actual brake disk. The 6250/7 brake disk is lasered and has more venting than the 6250/3. Therefore it will run cooler than the 6250/3 and help eliminate brake fading due to overheating of the disc. Just like in a real car.

Actually the difference between the reg. and tunning is far more than just the lasered disk. The pads are better(different) the cables are smoother, cable holder and plate holder are both aluminum instead of plastic. There is a bearing insted of a bushing and the pads slide on a double sided bolt which is threaded into the assembly and you use a nut on the other end to adjust. This was the bolt stays put. The reg. one uses a allen bolt and for adjustments the whole bolt is adjusted.

If you price out the differences it's more. But depending on you buget the regular ones will work. As far as the uprights, plastic will work but if you do want the alloy ones make sure the brakes can be mounted in the back by the arms. Much better cable route and doesn't hit the arms.

Hope this helps!!

We need offset rims so the calipers clear.

Plus if you want some more bling effect, Krikke Racing offers some of these Alluminum pcs in anodized red or blue!!! Also break cables as well!!! I bought some red ones and they are at least 50% smoother that FG's!!!

If you really want the ultimate in brakes and bling go hydraulic braking.
