Default FG MT5 Pipe options

I was wanting to know that if I would see a performance gain out of cutting the length off the stock pipe on the FG MT5. I see that many people are doing it to the Baja, and it does help.

Any suggestions?

I broke the silicon coupler on my MT5 and have been running with just the stock can/muffler with NO extension. Only difference I have noticed is a deeper sound which I like, and alot of oil sprayed on my truck, which I dont like..

Friend of mine with the Baja took off his extension and said it was a huge difference, so I dunno..

The Firehammer stock exhaust has a 6 inch extension pipe that goes out the left side window net. I get black specks (oil/gas) on the body shell. It cleans off okay.

I guess that is why some here route the exaust out the bottom.
