Does anyone think this would be a good upgrade to the MT? I don't know how much it's selling for, this is the first I've seen of it.

i myself run a walbro 488 and iridium plug and man i did notice a performance difference , check out http://www.oneillbrothers.com/ for some motor upgrades if thats what you're after ..

I have heard the '8' series Iridium plug is a little taller than the '7' series plugs making it easier to break in a roll-over.

I have also heard the plug definitely bumps up performance.

Is that a 'standard' Walbro model carb or if it is modded from a stock carb?

and this is the walbro 488 , i dont no about the internal difference but other then not having a choke , and yes the plug does unforunatly stand higher then the cage but if im going too bash it i put in a different plug but just ripping around the park and flat land i like too run that one .

I run the 488, It's venturi is the same as most ,15.7MM, but it has larger jetting for higher fuel flow resulting in more power.......which is allways a good thing.....
